 “SAVE ONE OF NORTH CAROLINA’S
LARGEST NATIONAL TREASURES!”

To Save This Authentic Historic Relic

Future Preservation Requires That It Be In A

 Climate Controlled Environment

The State of North Carolina has already acquired a building in downtown Kinston to house the Neuse and other Civil War artifacts.   The gunboat will be the highlight of the museum's interpretive scheme; however, the vessel is rapidly deteriorating.  It will be lost forever unless the people of North Carolina act to save her.

Contact your state representative and state senator and ask them to help secure funding for the preservation of the CSS Neuse.

The future Civil War Museum with the CSS Neuse as the centerpiece will be the cornerstone of heritage tourism in Lenoir County.  It has great promise to attract people from all over the country. This means furthering economic development through tourism and bringing dollars to Eastern North Carolina.

Act now and make a statement, “SAVE THE NEUSE

Historic Preservation is not an administrative process but a movement of the people
